After 50 years, Saigon Tourist Corporation has grown into a group with over 17,000 employees, helping to shape the Vietnamese tourism industry.

Saigontourist Group currently manages around 100 hotels, resorts, restaurants, travel companies, entertainment areas, tourism training schools, exhibition and convention centers, golf courses, and cable television services. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group, said the group's success stems from the leadership of all levels and the contributions of each individual over five decades. It also comes from the cooperation and support of domestic and international partners.

"Everyone has contributed to Saigontourist Group's achievements throughout its 50 years of development," Binh emphasized.

The journey hasn't always been smooth. Saigontourist Group has faced significant challenges, such as economic crises and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Today, the group has expanded its tourism services network nationwide, strengthened international cooperation, and helped shape the domestic tourism industry. The group was also among the first to welcome international tourists back to Vietnam after the pandemic.

Regarding community projects, Saigontourist Group has participated in the Nguyen Hue flower street for over 23 years. The Saigontourist Group Culture and Cuisine Festival, held for the past four years, has also garnered several international awards.

Over the past five decades, the group has received numerous accolades and awards from the state and prestigious domestic and international organizations: including the Labor Hero title, Independence Order, Labor Order; the Prime Minister's emulation flag; the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee traditional flag; ASEAN awards; Guinness World Records; and the World's Leading Culinary Festival award for several consecutive years.

The group is also offering substantial promotions to show appreciation to partners and customers.

To commemorate the company's 50th anniversary, Chairman Pham Huy Binh called on all staff members to continue upholding the traditions that Saigontourist Group has maintained and developed over five decades.

"This is an important milestone to reflect on the past and look towards the future. Saigontourist Group will continue to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam's tourism industry, bringing unique experiences to domestic and international visitors," Binh affirmed.
