Sendo affirmed it will continue to receive and resolve customer complaints and inquiries via email or online customer service channels during the service shutdown process.
Launched in late 2021, Sendo Farm was initially a business segment of Sendo's multi-industry retail e-commerce platform. By 4/2025, Sendo officially withdrew from competition with Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and Tiki, having less than 1% market share, to fully transition its focus to Sendo Farm.
The platform operated as an online supermarket model for agricultural products, food, and consumer goods, providing services in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (TP HCM). It promoted a "buy today, receive tomorrow" delivery motto, supported by over 18,000 pickup points.
However, Sendo Farm operated in a highly competitive and rapidly developing market for direct and online food and consumer goods retail. This market offers numerous convenient options for buyers, ranging from widespread small grocery chains and mini-supermarkets like Bach Hoa Xanh and WinMart to online supermarket delivery services from GrabFood, ShopeeFood, and beFood.
Additionally, traditional retail models such as wet markets and local convenience stores remain prevalent in residential communities. Some homemakers even prefer ordering fresh produce, meat, and fish through community groups in apartment buildings, workplaces, or social media platforms.
