Individual customers without an existing SHB account or VETC e-wallet link can log into the VETC app and verify their personal information according to the new standards. This includes name, citizen identity card number, license plate number, phone number, email, and facial recognition.
After verification, customers simply confirm sharing their information with SHB to open a bank account and automatically link it to their VETC e-wallet. The streamlined process is entirely online, minimizing processing time.

Customers completing these steps will receive 35,000 VND in their VETC e-wallet. SHB also offers 8,000 e-vouchers for a 50,000 VND discount on phone top-ups of 100,000 VND or more through the SHB SAHA mobile banking app. The total value of these promotions exceeds 3.2 billion VND and runs until 15/9.
This solution supports compliance with Government Decree 119, requiring all ETC accounts to be verified with complete customer identification information by 1/10.
An SHB representative stated that identity verification ensures legality, transparency, and security within the ETC system. It also prevents fraud and protects users' rights.
