Vietravel Airlines announced this in a press release on 21/6. The company stated that at its recent 2025 annual general meeting, shareholders approved several key decisions, including increasing the charter capital to 2,600 billion VND. The airline's current charter capital is 1,300 billion VND.
The capital increase is expected to take place in the first half of 2026. According to Vietravel Airlines, this decision aims to strengthen its financial capacity to meet the requirements of its upcoming fleet and operational expansion. The increase will also ensure payment capabilities, maintain healthy financial indicators, and enhance credibility with strategic partners, suppliers, and credit institutions.
Vietravel Airlines Chairman Do Vinh Quang stated that this is a comprehensive preparation for the upcoming period of strong growth and for achieving ambitious growth targets.
This plan is based on the participation and commitment of SHB Bank. According to SHB Vice Chairman Do Quang Vinh, the bank is committed to providing financial support, becoming a solid resource for Vietravel Airlines' future operational plans.
Vinh also expressed confidence in contributing to strengthening Vietravel Airlines' capacity to expand its fleet, invest in technology, and improve service quality, thanks to SHB's financial resources and experience. Do Quang Vinh is also currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Vietravel Airlines.

In addition, Vietravel Airlines will effectively utilize resources from T&T Group and Vietravel Corporation over the next 5 years. The airline aims to build a synchronous aviation ecosystem, integrating transportation, tourism, and digital experiences. The company even aspires to become one of the leading airlines in the region by 2035.
The Vietravel Airlines project was approved by the government in 4/2020 with initial capital of 700 billion VND. In 1/2021, the airline operated its first commercial flight. Vietravel Airlines is the 6th airline and the third private airline in Vietnam.
Since late last year, a group of businesses related to T&T Group became a strategic shareholder in the airline, with an ownership rate of approximately 75%. Vietravel Airlines is expected to acquire more aircraft to enhance its operational capacity beyond its current single narrow-body A321.
