The US Department of Commerce (DOC) recently announced the results of its 20th period of review (POR20) of anti-dumping duties on frozen pangasius fillets from Vietnam. Seven Vietnamese companies received a 0% anti-dumping duty rate, an increase of six compared to the 19th period of review (POR19).
The six newly exempted companies are: Can Tho Import-Export Seafood, Dai Thanh Seafood, Dong A Seafood, Hung Ca 6, Nam Viet, and NTSF Seafood.
The remaining company is a group of three companies: Bien Dong Seafood, Bien Dong Hau Giang Seafood, and Seavina Joint Stock Company. This group was treated as a single entity in POR19 and also received a 0% duty rate.

Vinh Hoan (VHC) was not included in this list as it was previously excluded from the anti-dumping duty order. VHC is no longer subject to review and automatically receives a 0% duty rate under a separate mechanism.
Pangasius is a key Vietnamese export, generating billions of USD in revenue for the seafood industry. Pangasius fillets account for about 80% of total pangasius exports, with the US being a major market.
According to customs data, pangasius exports to the US reached 41 million USD in May, a 35% increase compared to the same period last year. In the first five months of the year, export turnover reached 142 million USD, a 7% increase year-on-year.
