The Tax Department of District 1 (TP HCM) issued a tax enforcement decision against M-TP Entertainment Co., Ltd. for over 118.7 million VND. The enforcement measures involved withdrawing funds from and freezing the company's accounts.

The decisions were effective from June 26 to July 25. Enforcement was carried out on November 30. As the company has 4 bank accounts, the tax authority issued 4 corresponding enforcement decisions.

A representative of M-TP Entertainment told VnExpress that the issue stemmed from a technical discrepancy in the tax reconciliation system. The problem arose because the company's tax obligations were fulfilled in two different localities (Dong Nai and TP HCM), resulting in the tax management system not automatically offsetting the paid amounts.

"This is not actual tax debt. The company has fully fulfilled its tax obligations as prescribed by law," the representative stated.

The company is working with tax authorities to resolve this technical discrepancy. They confirmed having all tax payment documents and are committed to strictly complying with legal regulations during their business operations.

M-TP Entertainment Co., Ltd. is represented by singer Son Tung M-TP, who also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. The company was established in 2016 with a charter capital of 3 billion VND. Its main business is professional art performance organization.

Son Tung established this company after branching out independently following his time with manager Quang Huy. According to the singer's autobiography, the establishment of M-TP Entertainment allowed him to become a music producer rather than just a singer. Son Tung also aims for his company to become a training ground for new artists.

Previously, the company also managed singer Kay Tran and music producer onionn. After they left in 2022, Son Tung M-TP is the company's sole artist.
