On 12/9, in coordination with the US Embassy in Vietnam, Sun Group hosted the US-Vietnam Aviation Cooperation Forum. During the forum, Sun Group introduced Sun PhuQuoc Airways, Vietnam's first leisure-focused airline, invested in and developed by the corporation. The airline is developing a "hub-and-spoke" network centered on Phu Quoc, directly connecting major cities domestically and internationally, providing easier access to the island.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways is a strategic component of Sun Group's ecosystem on Phu Quoc, connecting guests to resorts, beaches, restaurants, and entertainment complexes, creating a seamless journey from the sky to the ground, ensuring a complete vacation experience.

In parallel with commercial aviation, Sun Group is also implementing a plan to upgrade Phu Quoc International Airport to 4E level, with a scale of 1,050 hectares and over 100 parking spaces.

The forum was attended by Marc E. Knapper, US Ambassador to Vietnam, along with representatives from 15 international aviation corporations and numerous US technology, financial services, and businesses.
Technology brands such as Amazon Web Services, Cisco, Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, and Rapiscan presented solutions ranging from cloud computing, data management, and modern security screening to fuel-efficient operations. Experts from GE Aerospace, Gulfstream, and Honeywell Aerospace also emphasized sustainable development trends, focusing on flight safety, smart operations, and the application of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of Sun Group, stated that aviation is not merely a means of transportation but also strategic infrastructure that elevates destinations. Accordingly, the corporation aims to build a comprehensive aviation ecosystem, encompassing airport infrastructure, commercial airlines, and premium services.
"The presence of these US corporations today presents invaluable opportunities for collaboration, allowing us to learn from advanced technologies while affirming our commitment to sustainable development and international integration," a Sun Group representative emphasized.

The US-Vietnam Aviation Cooperation Forum concluded with numerous solutions from international corporations and commitments from Sun Group and Sun PhuQuoc Airways, paving the way for Phu Quoc to become a new aviation and tourism hub.
