Industry-wide, domestic airlines operated 77,855 flights in the first quarter, with a 70% on-time departure rate. In March, the overall industry on-time rate was 79.6% across 25,162 flights, while Sun PhuQuoc Airways recorded an 88.4% on-time rate.
This performance continued from late 2025 through the end of Q1 2026, despite the airline's fleet expansion, growing flight network, and initial international operations. Maintaining a high on-time rate during this growth period indicates a synchronized and real-time controlled operational system.
An airline representative stated that the on-time performance index reflects a commitment to passenger reliability. This also lays the groundwork for future expansion plans, including the operation of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft.

In addition to strong operational performance, Sun PhuQuoc Airways expanded its fleet in Q1 2026, reaching a total of 10 aircraft by the end of the quarter. Operational output grew in line with fleet additions, while the on-time rate remained high.
A Sun PhuQuoc Airways representative stated that this growth reflects increasing market demand and the operational system's capacity to meet it. The new fleet, service procedures, and service standards are implemented across all routes.
