Tasco Joint Stock Company recorded 22,190 billion VND in revenue during the first half of the year, an increase of nearly 43% compared to the same period last year, according to its semi-annual financial report. The company attributed this growth primarily to its automotive, insurance, and investment businesses. Furthermore, the consolidation of DNP Holding's results from last December also enhanced Tasco's water segment performance.
Automotive distribution accounted for a significant 64,5% of Tasco's revenue, totaling 14,308 billion VND, a 20% increase from last year. The essential services investment segment generated 6,072 billion VND, representing a 27,4% share of the total revenue.
Alongside the robust revenue growth, the company's gross profit reached 2,527 billion VND, up 72% over the same period last year. This resulted in a gross profit margin of 11,4%, marking its highest level since 2023, the year Tasco underwent restructuring and integrated its automotive business.
The profitability ratio for automotive distribution, which contributed over half of the gross profit, improved from 7,5% to 8,4%, boosting the parent company's overall financial performance.
Beyond its core operations, Tasco also reported nearly 950 billion VND in revenue from financial activities, 2,5 times more than last year. This increase was primarily driven by divestment activities conducted in the first half of the year.
After deducting all expenses, the company achieved a pre-tax profit of over 400 billion VND in the first half of the year, 2,3 times higher than last year. Its post-tax profit reached 310 billion VND, representing a substantial increase of 171%.
Tasco operates across diverse sectors, including insurance, automotive manufacturing and distribution, and real estate. The company sells vehicles from several prominent brands such as Volvo, Lynk&Co, and Geely. Following its merger with DNP Holding last year, Tasco expanded its operations into the clean water sector.
As of 30/6, Tasco's total assets reached nearly 54,700 billion VND, an increase of 2,500 billion VND compared to the beginning of the year. The company's equity stood at 18,075 billion VND, while financial debt exceeded 23,730 billion VND.
