Techcombank helps customers receive national day bonus

Techcombank integrates with the national identification app (VNeID) to help citizens receive their 100,000 VND social welfare payment for national day.

The bank announced this special feature as the government rolls out activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August revolution and national day on 2/9. One of these initiatives is a 100,000 VND cash gift for every Vietnamese citizen.

The entire linking process is simple and quick, done entirely on a phone. It is secured by biometric authentication technology from VNeID and Techcombank Mobile, adhering to strict international security standards.

"This year's 2/9 gift and future social welfare payments will be transferred directly to recipients once the connection request is approved," the announcement stated. "Without geographical barriers or complicated administrative procedures, people can receive money directly into their Techcombank accounts without visiting traditional transaction points or bank branches, saving time and minimizing cash-related risks."

Customers with a Techcombank account and a level 2 VNeID can follow these three steps:

Step 1: Log in to VNeID, select "Social Welfare," and then "Social Welfare Account."

Step 2: Choose Techcombank and fill in the required information on VNeID.

Step 3: Confirm and submit the request.

Those without a Techcombank account can open one in a minute by downloading the Techcombank Mobile app from the App Store/CH Play or visiting the website, clicking "I am a new customer," and following the instructions.

To celebrate national day with the government, each new account opened and linked with VNeID from 1/9 to 25/9 will receive an additional 100,000 VND (credited within three business days of the program's end).

Nguyen Anh Tuan, director of retail banking at Techcombank, emphasized, "Quickly deploying the VNeID linking feature, helping customers easily access social welfare benefits and services, especially during national day, is how we deliver on our commitment to 'providing a superior digital banking experience', joining hands with the government to promote national digital transformation."

Techcombank also enhances customer value through its automatic interest program, a solution that allows daily interest accrual on checking account balances with yields of up to 4.4% per year.

Every balance, no matter how small—salary, pending tuition payments, import payments, investments—earns optimal interest while remaining readily available for withdrawals, payments, and transfers at any time. There's no need for separate savings accounts, manual transfers, or minimum balance requirements. Interest accrues daily and is paid at the end of each month. Customers can choose to receive funds in their accounts or convert them to U-Point at double the value for cashback or valuable dining and shopping vouchers.

Two years after its launch, Techcombank's automatic interest program has attracted almost 4 million participants. Anyone can activate this program on the Techcombank Mobile banking app.

With a customer-centric strategy, Techcombank currently provides diverse financial solutions and banking services to 15.4 million individuals and businesses through a nationwide network of branches and its digital platform.

Techcombank's ecosystem approach and partnerships across key economic sectors set it apart. The bank has been awarded "Best Bank in Vietnam" in a single year by Euromoney, Global Finance, and FinanceAsia. It holds a credit rating of AA- from FiinRatings, a ba3 baseline credit assessment (BCA) from Moody's, and a BB- rating from S&P. Techcombank's stock code on the HoSE is TCB.
