Truong Hai Auto Corporation (Thaco) announced this decision last week. In a statement on its website, Thaco said Tai "completed his assigned tasks and voluntarily resigned during the group's restructuring and digital transformation at the end of 2025".
Born in 1965, Tai has worked at Thaco for over 20 years. He was appointed CEO in mid-4/2018.

In addition to Tai, Nguyen Mot, senior director of culture and communications, also voluntarily resigned.
Thaco recently appointed three deputy CEOs: Nguyen Quang Bao, Tran Bao Son, and Nguyen Hoang Tue. These individuals are CEOs of Thaco's subsidiaries: Thaco Auto, Thaco Agri, and Thadico, respectively. The corporation also appointed new leaders for the chief financial officer and human resources director positions.
According to Thaco, these appointments aim to consolidate the management apparatus, ensuring continuity and constant innovation in governance.
In his new year's message, Tran Ba Duong said the company is focusing on balancing its long-standing leadership with young, dynamic personnel to meet the trends of digital transformation and the digital economy.
Thaco plans to recruit 26,419 new employees this year, bringing the total to 77,161. Thaco Agri, the agricultural arm, is expected to recruit the most, with 22,984 people.
