Three outstanding projects at the "outstanding next generation financial management" program

The "Kindness Points Philanthropic App", the "Ecospend Insights AI Assistant", and the "GreenWise App" were the three most highly regarded projects at the final round of the "Outstanding Next Generation Financial Management 2025" program.

The "Outstanding Next Generation Financial Management 2025" program, organized by Techcombank in collaboration with VinUni University, is designed for children aged 12-15 of Techcombank Private and Priority members nationwide.

Over two months and numerous challenges, from an initial pool of over 1,300 students, the organizers selected nearly 30 outstanding individuals to compete in the final round, the "Financial Innovation Challenge." The challenge focused on two themes: "Green Living - Smart Spending" and "Kind Finance - Together for the Community."

In the final round, the contestants were divided into six teams and presented ideas revolving around finance, smart saving, green lifestyles, and community contributions. Despite their young age, the teams received high praise from the expert panel for the practicality and creativity of their projects, their teamwork, and their professional presentation style.

The first prize, worth 50 million VND, was awarded to the "Kindness Points Philanthropic App" project. This digital philanthropic wallet records, accumulates points for, and promotes acts of kindness within the community. It impressed the judges with its practicality and potential for implementation.

The second prize, worth 40 million VND, went to the "Ecospend Insights AI Assistant" project. This green application helps users manage their spending more effectively, suggests green investment opportunities, and can estimate the amount of CO2 users generate through daily purchases.

The third prize, worth 30 million VND, was awarded to the "GreenWise App" project. This app promotes smart spending and waste reduction, encouraging the use of recycled materials through a product "Greenness" scanning function and accumulating points to support the underprivileged.

The judges also awarded three consolation prizes, each worth 20 million VND, to the "Green App", "Go Green: Accumulate Green Points - Exchange for Sustainable Rewards", and "GreenGo: Smart Travel - Friendly Living" projects.

In addition, the "Most Outstanding Contestant" award, valued at 10 million VND each, was presented to recognize the efforts and encourage further learning among the participants. Nguyen Thien Kim, a contestant from TP HCM, who won the "Most Outstanding Contestant" award and whose team also won first prize, said the result was a collective effort.

"The competition gave us the opportunity to learn more about financial management, improve our presentation skills, and gain confidence on stage," Kim shared.

Beyond the main competition, the event also featured meaningful side activities. The "Cafe Zone" was designed as a refreshment station, helping contestants recharge, boost their confidence, and connect with their families throughout the final round.

Additionally, an AI workshop titled "Who is AI, Play with AI, and Manage Finances with AI," led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, a Senior Advisor at Techcombank and an experienced AI expert, attracted considerable interest from the young participants. The workshop not only provided foundational knowledge but also gave contestants the chance to explore modern technological trends, opening up potential for discovery and development in the digital age.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen The Anh, Director of Private and Priority, emphasized that the program not only equips young people with foundational financial knowledge but also creates a space for practical experience, encouraging creative thinking, developing resilience, and contributing valuable ideas to the community.

"Techcombank desires to accompany Private & Priority customers not only in managing and developing their assets, but also in preparing and inspiring the next generation, who will inherit the family legacy and become resourceful, creative, and responsible leaders in the future," a Techcombank representative shared.

"Outstanding Next Generation Financial Management" is one of the first financial education programs in Vietnam specifically designed for the 12-15 age group, first held in 2024. The program features specialized sessions and "Outstanding Next Generation Financial Management" workshops, combined with online learning on the FinWise Edu platform, providing foundational knowledge in personal finance management. It also includes online training sessions and practical activities like "A Day as a Banker." Through these activities, students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge, hone their problem-solving skills, develop creative thinking, and cultivate the foundational abilities of future leaders.
