The National Competition Commission recently issued an administrative penalty against TikiNow Smart Logistics (TikiNow) for unfair competition. The company was fined 200 million VND for advertising "100% nationwide delivery coverage; up to 1,000,000+ orders delivered daily; and 100,000+ orders processed daily".
According to the National Competition Commission, this information misled consumers about the company, its products, and services, with the aim of attracting customers from competitors. This violates the Competition Law.
The commission noted that during the investigation, TikiNow cooperated fully by providing information and documentation. The company also took steps to mitigate the impact of the violation and publicly corrected the misleading information on its website.
In a correction statement published on 27/6, TikiNow acknowledged and corrected the misleading content on its website. The revised statement now reads: "delivery coverage expanded to 34 provinces/cities; up to 1,000,000+ orders processed monthly; and 100,000+ orders can be processed daily by TikiNow".
TikiNow began operations in 2013 as the exclusive delivery provider for the Tiki e-commerce platform. In 2019, TikiNow became an independent company offering warehousing, packaging, and delivery solutions.
