On the evening of 28/8, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued an official dispatch announcing the Politburo's decision to gift every Vietnamese citizen 100,000 VND in cash to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. This social welfare payment will be disbursed by the State Treasury through commercial banks.

To ensure timely delivery of the gifts before September 2, the State Treasury announced revised transaction processing times with commercial banks during the National Day holiday.

The State Treasury will remain operational on September 1 and 2, processing electronic bilateral payments and collections with commercial banks.

The daily transaction cut-off time is 4 PM, and the deadline for settlement requests is 4:40 PM.

The State Treasury is currently standardizing the 8-digit bank codes of the commercial banks where it holds accounts. However, to prioritize the timely distribution of the national day gifts, this process will be paused and resumed at a later date.

The Treasury has directed its regional offices to ensure the successful completion of this task and report any arising issues to the Payment System Management Department for prompt resolution.

As of 28/8, 18 banks have integrated with the VNeID app to distribute social welfare benefits: Agribank, VietinBank, BIDV, Vietcombank, LPBank, HDBank, MB, Sacombank, PVcomBank, TPBank, ShinhanBank, NCB, NamABank, Kienlongbank, BVBank, ACB, Vikki Bank, and Co-opBank.

More banks are expected to link with the social welfare accounts on VNeID soon.

Citizens can also receive these benefits through VNPT's Mobile Money accounts.
