Trend Micro rebrands enterprise cybersecurity division

Trend Micro has renamed its enterprise cybersecurity division to TrendAI, signaling a strategic shift to focus on artificial intelligence, data, and cyber risk management solutions.

The new brand, TrendAI, will represent Trend Micro's enterprise security offerings in the market. This rebranding reflects the company's transition from a portfolio of individual products to an integrated AI cybersecurity platform, particularly as artificial intelligence increasingly becomes critical infrastructure for businesses.

The renaming also marks the completion of Trend Micro's transformation into a unified enterprise AI cybersecurity platform, moving away from developing separate product groups. Alongside the new brand, the company will continue initiatives such as the AI Security Brief podcast, the TrendAI Spark event series, and expanding collaborations with consulting and cybersecurity testing partners.

This strategic move comes as many businesses accelerate AI adoption but still face challenges in risk management. A global survey conducted by the company among over 3,700 managers revealed that 67% of businesses report being under pressure to approve AI deployments despite security concerns. Only 38% have established comprehensive governance policies, while 57% admit that the pace of AI development is exceeding their ability to protect systems.

The survey also indicated that 55% of leaders rated their confidence in understanding AI-related legal regulations as average. For autonomous AI systems, businesses are particularly concerned about sensitive data leakage and a lack of monitoring capabilities over self-operating systems.

"TrendAI reflects our conviction that cybersecurity must evolve at the same pace as the technology it protects," said Eva Chen, CEO of Trend Micro. "As businesses restructure their operations around artificial intelligence, data, and automation, our role is to ensure they can execute with confidence, control, and flexibility built in from the start."

TrendAI is a trusted brand for comprehensive AI, cloud, network, and data security. Central to its ecosystem is TrendAI Vision One, a unified cybersecurity platform designed to manage risks and protect the entire AI lifecycle. With 6,000 experts across 75 countries, TrendAI helps safeguard against threats across all attack surfaces, including critical environments like: AWS, Google, Microsoft, and NVIDIA. AI Fearlessly.
