Indonesia-based Trigana Air Service has taken delivery of a Boeing 737-300 freighter, leased from Aircraft Finance Germany (AFG). Frankfurt-based aircraft lessor AFG stated that the aircraft was acquired from China's Central Airlines and will support Trigana's cargo operations.
According to Planespotters, Trigana's latest freighter was delivered in 12/2025. The 32-year-old 737-300 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) aircraft began operations on 28/12/2025.

"AFG is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of a Boeing 737-300 freighter, registration number 25998, from Central Airlines of China. This transaction marks the third aircraft AFG has acquired from Central Airlines, further strengthening the strong and trusted relationship between the two parties. The aircraft was subsequently put into service by Trigana Air Service and will support the airline's cargo operations," an AFG representative stated.
Trigana operates scheduled air cargo services on several domestic routes, connecting major airports with surrounding regions. Additionally, Trigana deploys cargo charter services, which are particularly suitable for remote areas where ground transport is limited or inaccessible.
Data from Planespotters indicates that Trigana's current cargo fleet includes one ATR 42 aircraft, two 737-300 "preweighter" configurations, five 737-300 P2F aircraft, and one 737-500 freighter.
Several other Indonesia-based airlines have also expanded their operations in recent months. In 9/2025, Garuda Indonesia Cargo joined Freightos' WebCargo air freight booking platform to expand real-time electronic booking services for freight forwarders worldwide. In the same month, BBN Airlines Indonesia received its third-country operator (TCO) authorization from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
