Reuters, citing close sources, reported that after his 21/1 speech at the WEF, Trump would invite business leaders from various sectors, including financial services, cryptocurrency, and consulting, to a reception. The meeting's agenda has not yet been disclosed.
One CEO stated that their schedule only listed 'reception honoring President Donald Trump'. Another understood that all CEOs were invited, not just Americans. One source indicated the invitations were sent from the White House.
Trump is expected to arrive in Davos, Switzerland, on 21/1 and deliver a speech. Several high-ranking US officials, including Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, are accompanying the President.

This year's forum is themed 'Spirit of Dialogue'. The WEF organizers stated that this year's event will host over 3,000 delegates from more than 130 economies, including 64 heads of state and government officials.
Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng is also in Davos to speak this year. He will host a reception for global CEOs and business founders. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, will also attend Davos and hold meetings with members of the US delegation.
However, this year's WEF is overshadowed by recent noteworthy policy moves by the US President, including his proposal to acquire Greenland. National security advisors from several countries are expected to meet on the sidelines to discuss various issues, including Greenland. A European diplomat stated that Greenland was added to the meeting's agenda after Trump threatened to impose additional import tariffs on 8 European countries last weekend until the US was allowed to purchase the island.
Responding to reporters on the sidelines of the WEF meetings, Bessent argued that European countries should not retaliate against any US measures. 'I think that would be very unwise,' Bessent remarked, adding that Europe should not question Trump's intentions regarding Greenland.
