In the Top 500 ranking released in 6/2025, FPT's two AI factories, located in Japan and Vietnam, secured the 36th and 38th positions, respectively. This achievement places FPT among the world's leading supercomputing infrastructure providers and establishes them as the top commercial AI Cloud service provider in Japan, utilizing the Nvidia H200 Tensor Core GPU SXM5 superchip.
According to FPT, the AI factory in Japan boasts 146,304 processing cores and achieves a performance of 49.85 PFlops based on the Linpack benchmark. The Vietnam facility has 142,240 processing cores, reaching 46.65 PFlops. Both utilize the InfiniBand NDR400 network, supporting expansion from a single GPU to clusters of hundreds of servers processing in parallel at each location.

The Top 500 is a ranking of high-performance computing (HPC) supercomputers based on the Linpack benchmark, which assesses the ability to perform complex arithmetic operations per second (Flops). Established in 1993 by three renowned researchers, the ranking is published twice a year. According to FPT, the ranking serves as a global standard for governments, scientific organizations, and businesses to evaluate hardware capabilities, system design, and the ability to handle complex AI and scientific tasks.
"This milestone also places Vietnam among the top 15 AI nations globally for the first time, alongside powers like the US, China, Japan, Germany, and France, demonstrating FPT's commitment to elevating the nation's technological standing," an FPT representative said.
Over the next 5 years, the corporation aims to develop three more AI factories worldwide, with the goal of making Vietnam the regional leader in AI computing infrastructure.
