V-Green launches electric scooter battery swapping franchise

V-Green announced a nationwide franchise model for VinFast electric scooter battery swapping stations on September 3rd, with an investment starting at 210 million VND per station.

With a starting investment of 210 million VND, V-Green expects this franchise model to generate passive monthly income, inviting partners to join in creating a green transportation infrastructure for electric scooters.

A standard battery swapping station provided by V-Green includes one cabinet and 11 batteries for VinFast's swappable electric scooter models. The company guarantees investors a minimum annual return of 15% on their investment, equivalent to 31.5 million VND per station annually. "With the explosive growth of electric vehicles in the future, the actual income from these stations is projected to be much higher," a V-Green representative said.

Each battery swap costs 9,000 VND. For the first three years, partners will receive an additional 1,250 VND per swap, while incurring no additional labor costs for operation as the system is automated. V-Green calculates that a station can recoup its investment in about 2.5 years, making them suitable for densely populated areas, main roads, and public parking lots. Each battery swap takes approximately one minute for two fully charged batteries.

Nguyen Thanh Duong, General Director of V-Green, stated that the electric scooter battery swapping franchise model is a new step for the company, partnering with others to affirm its vision and commitment to promoting green transportation in Vietnam. "This model is an important part of the strategy to develop a support ecosystem for VinFast electric vehicles, including both scooters and cars," he said.

V-Green currently operates approximately 150,000 electric vehicle charging ports nationwide. The company hopes the battery swapping station franchise model will mobilize social resources from partners across the country. V-Green previously set a target of 150,000 electric scooter battery swapping stations in Vietnam within the next three years, significantly exceeding the current number of gas stations.
