The tournament took place at Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club, the first golf course to operate within T&T Group's golf ecosystem. This year, the event gathered 100 golfers competing in a Stroke Play format, with a simultaneous start at 12h30.
Organizers awarded prizes for best gross, first place, and several technical challenges, including longest drive, nearest to the pin, and hole-in-one at strategic par 3 holes.
As Vietnam's golf industry rapidly develops and increasingly focuses on premium experiences, the Van Lang Legacy Golf Journey 2026 is positioned as a heritage-inspired journey, where golf acts as a bridge between sports, culture, art, and Vietnamese identity.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of T&T Group's Board of Directors, stated that for many years, the company has pursued the philosophy of "World's Quintessence - Vietnamese Identity". In the golf sector, the group not only invests in high-quality golf courses but also aims to create unique destinations, contributing to promoting the cultural and tourism values of each locality.
According to Do Vinh Quang, from its inception, Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club was envisioned as a destination that converges sports, culture, tourism, and the heritage values of the Land of Ancestors region. This vision led to the creation of the Van Lang Legacy Golf Journey tournament.
"There is no place more fitting than the Land of the Hung Kings' Ancestors to begin this Legacy journey", Do Vinh Quang stated. "From Phu Tho, we aim to build a tournament not only for golf enthusiasts but also to spread pride in Vietnam's culture, history, and sustainable values."

Inspired by the spirit of "Legacy"—heritage inherited and continued through generations—the tournament aims to honor ancestral values through golf, art, cuisine, and local culture. This direction is also pursued by Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club as it develops its model of golf combined with resorts and cultural experiences.
This year's event also marks the start of summer 2026 at Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club, ushering in a new development phase for its service ecosystem. The golf course currently operates 18 international standard holes, having welcomed tens of thousands of golfers and visitors since its opening.
In the near future, several key facilities, such as the Son Tinh Clubhouse and a luxury hotel complex, will be completed. These additions aim to establish a distinctive golf-resort-culture model in the Land of Ancestors region.

In addition to the competition, a commemorative tree planting ceremony was held on the afternoon of 31/5. According to organizers, this symbolic activity contributes to enriching the cultural space and promoting a message of sustainable development, fostering harmony between nature, people, and local identity.
One of the course's highlights is the signature par 3 hole 17, featuring a prominent large flag pole amidst the hilly landscape. A lookout tower in this area is modeled after the architecture of ancient Vietnamese homes and Van Lang era leaders' residences. From here, golfers can observe a panoramic view of all 18 golf holes and the project's overall architecture.
Additionally, the 9 m tall, 3 m wide Phat Ba Tam Dien statue, crafted from a monolithic granite block, is another highlight attracting visitors. According to the investor, this structure symbolizes peace, humanity, and the benevolent values in the spiritual life of Vietnamese people.
In recent years, golf development in Vietnam has moved beyond simply investing in course infrastructure or service quality, focusing instead on building unique values to enhance the overall experience. With the Van Lang Legacy Golf Journey, heritage and Vietnamese identity are central, guiding every aspect from concept to organization.
