The Ministry of Finance held a ceremony in Hanoi on 8/8 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the finance sector (28/8/1945-28/8/2025) and to receive the First-Class Independence Order.
The event provided an opportunity for the finance sector to reflect on its journey since its inception and look towards a new phase of development. On 28/8/1945, President Ho Chi Minh signed a decree establishing the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam with 13 ministries, including the Ministry of Finance. Since then, August 28 has become the sector's traditional day.
