VietArt supports the 80th anniversary of the finance sector

VietArt oversaw the organization of the anniversary ceremony, exhibition, and activities honoring the achievements and contributions of the finance sector over eight decades.

The Ministry of Finance held a ceremony in Hanoi on 8/8 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the finance sector (28/8/1945-28/8/2025) and to receive the First-Class Independence Order.

The event provided an opportunity for the finance sector to reflect on its journey since its inception and look towards a new phase of development. On 28/8/1945, President Ho Chi Minh signed a decree establishing the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam with 13 ministries, including the Ministry of Finance. Since then, August 28 has become the sector's traditional day.

Over the past 80 years, the finance sector has played a central role in advising on socio-economic development strategies, managing, and effectively utilizing national financial resources. The sector has also focused on reforming and modernizing the management system, enhancing transparency and efficiency in operations, and contributing to the country's sustainable development.

The finance sector is now entering a new phase of development with a new scale and mission. The sector continues to promote professional capacity, management skills, coordinated collaboration, and a spirit of reform. In management, the sector is becoming more proactive and flexible; in carrying out its tasks, it emphasizes integrity and discipline; and in organizational structure, it aims for modernization and professionalism. The goal is to maintain its central coordinating role in the economy, serve as a reliable pillar for the nation in all circumstances, and accompany the country in achieving new milestones in this new era of national development.
