The agreement expands the partnership between Vietcombank and K Hospital across several areas, including financial management, cashless payments, IT infrastructure upgrades, and comprehensive digital transformation.
At K Hospital's Tan Trieu facility, Vietcombank has installed the VIMESPay payment system in more than 30 examination rooms. This reduces the workload at cashier counters and shortens waiting times for patients.
A Vietcombank representative stated that the partnership aligns with the bank's focus on developing a financial-technology ecosystem connected to essential sectors, contributing to improving people's experiences in accessing public services.

At the event, the bank also donated 100 tablets worth 1 billion VND to support the hospital's implementation of an electronic medical records system. This donation is part of the bank's ongoing social welfare activities, reflecting its "shared belief - strong future" ethos and contributing to the digitization of the healthcare sector.
K Hospital, with three facilities in Hanoi (Quan Su, Tam Hiep, and Tan Trieu), receives over 500,000 patient visits annually. As a leading specialized cancer hospital, it is modernizing its operations and increasing the application of technology in medical examination and treatment.
A hospital representative expressed appreciation for Vietcombank's support, especially in donating equipment and implementing cashless payment solutions. This partnership is expected to accelerate the hospital's digital transformation, aligning with the government's Project 06 on developing a digital government and society.

Vietcombank has a history of supporting the healthcare sector. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the bank contributed hundreds of billions of VND to epidemic prevention funds and donated equipment to frontline hospitals like Bach Mai and Cho Ray. After the pandemic, this support continued with facility renovations and equipment upgrades at numerous medical facilities nationwide. In 2024 alone, Vietcombank allocated approximately 571 billion VND for social welfare programs, primarily focused on healthcare, education, and supporting vulnerable communities.
In addition to social activities, the bank has developed a range of digital financial solutions specifically for the healthcare sector. Vietcombank is among the first to implement cashless payments in hospitals through QR codes, e-wallets, and POS systems.
Representatives from the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health) also attended the signing ceremony, opening up potential for broader interdisciplinary collaboration, from finance to healthcare, contributing to sustainable development and comprehensive digitization in Vietnam.
