"Forward Vietnam" is a nationwide walking event organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Security to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day (2/9), and People's Police Traditional Day. The event takes place from 25/7 to 16/8 across 34 provinces and cities, encompassing 3,321 communes, wards, and special administrative units.

People can register online at cungvietnamtienbuoc.nhandan.vn to record their steps, contributing to the "1 Billion Steps into the New Era" journey.
Each step recorded through the campaign's digital platform becomes a "green step," contributing to carbon emission reduction, raising environmental awareness, and supporting the nation's Net Zero goal.

After nearly a week, customer donations have reached 600 million VND to support disadvantaged students for the 2025-2026 school year. At the program's conclusion, Vietcombank will publicly announce the total amount donated by its customers on its website and fanpage.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Head of the program's Steering Committee, described it as a large-scale community event that promotes exercise, connects generations and regions, and combines legal advocacy, crime prevention, and building a national movement to protect national security.

Provincial and city police departments have directed ward and commune-level police to collaborate with local authorities in implementing activities. These activities combine legal education on security, fire prevention, traffic safety, drowning prevention, drug and e-cigarette prevention to encourage citizens to build a safe and healthy living environment and actively participate in the national movement to protect national security at the grassroots level.
The closing ceremony will take place on the morning of 16/8. From 6:00 to 7:30, participants nationwide will wear red and yellow starred flags and turn towards Ba Dinh Square for the flag-raising ceremony, singing the national anthem, and demonstrating national unity and determination for development.
"The 'Forward Vietnam' event will affirm to the international community a renewed and united Vietnam, ready to enter a new era of development with new stature and momentum," Mr. Le Quoc Minh emphasized.
