The 2025 ESG Transport Sustainability Award ceremony took place in Taiwan. Held annually since 2023, the event recognizes outstanding businesses in the transport sector for their long-term sustainable development strategies, practical actions, and positive contributions to the community, all aligned with ESG (environmental, social, and governance) standards.
This year's awards brought together 34 participating businesses and organizations. Following three rounds of evaluation, including application review, preliminary judging, and finals, the organizing committee honored nine units with "gold awards" and 10 units with "excellence awards". Vietjet Air secured a gold award for its fuel-efficient fleet, carbon reduction operations, and waste reduction projects.

Also on 12/12 in Taipei, Vietjet hosted an event celebrating 11 years of operating routes to Taiwan.
Since its first Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) - Taipei flight on 12/12/2014, Vietjet has transported nearly 5,6 million passengers, connecting Hanoi, HCMC, and Phu Quoc with Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung.
Throughout its 11 years in Taiwan, the airline has provided cost-effective flights, friendly, and safe experiences, fostering economic cooperation and cultural exchange between Vietnam, Taiwan, and the Southeast Asian region. Vietjet stated it will continue its sustainable development strategy, leveraging technology as its foundation and ESG as its core direction, aiming to contribute to a green future for the regional and global aviation industry.
According to a Vietjet representative, the airline has recently developed green initiatives. For example, last october, the airline collaborated with Oxford University to announce research on solutions to help the aviation industry achieve net zero emissions. It is also expanding the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and operating its A321neo fleet. This new generation aircraft helps reduce fuel consumption by 15-20%.
Vietjet is also one of the first Vietnamese airlines to publish an ESG report, demonstrating its commitment to the national net zero target. These activities have led Airline Ratings to recognize Vietjet among the top 7 most sustainable airlines worldwide.
