Forbes magazine announced its 2026 world's billionaires list, showing Vietnam with three more representatives than last year.
The Vietnamese billionaires include Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong, VietJet Air Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Hoa Phat Chairman Tran Dinh Long, Techcombank Chairman Ho Hung Anh, and Masan Chairman Nguyen Dang Quang.
The three new billionaires on this year's Forbes list are Vingroup Vice Chairwoman Pham Thu Huong, Pham Thuy Hang – a Vingroup executive, and VPBank Chairman Ngo Chi Dung.
Excluding the three new additions, the remaining Vietnamese billionaires saw their assets increase over the past year.

Pham Nhat Vuong holds the largest fortune among the eight Vietnamese billionaires, with 27,7 billion USD – a four-fold increase from last year. This marks his 14th appearance on the list. Vuong is currently the 93rd wealthiest person globally.
Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao's assets nearly doubled, reaching 4,2 billion USD. She currently serves as Vice Chairwoman of HDBank's Board of Directors and Chairwoman of VietJet Air.
Steel billionaire Tran Dinh Long has 2,9 billion USD, a 500 million USD increase from last year. Ho Hung Anh made his 8th appearance on the list, with 2,5 billion USD.
Masan Chairman Nguyen Dang Quang also appeared on the list for the 6th consecutive year. He currently owns 1,2 billion USD.
Ngo Chi Dung, Pham Thuy Hang, and Pham Thu Huong have assets of 1,2 billion USD, 2,1 billion USD, and three billion USD, respectively.
To be included on the list, Forbes' methodology assesses individual wealth based on stock prices and exchange rates as of 1/3. This year, the world saw a record 3,428 billionaires, 400 more than last year. This is the second consecutive year the number of global billionaires exceeded 3,000 individuals. Their combined wealth also reached its highest point, totaling 20,100 billion USD.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk remains the wealthiest person on the planet, with 839 billion USD. He is followed by Google co-founders Larry Page (257 billion USD) and Sergey Brin (237 billion USD). Amazon founder Jeff Bezos dropped one spot to 4th this year, with 224 billion USD.
