This information was recently revealed by the Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) in its business performance announcement. Last year, Viettel Group's consolidated revenue reached approximately 193,715 billion VND. This figure exceeded the plan by nearly 4.8% and increased by approximately 12.3% compared to the previous year.
Viettel recorded a consolidated after-tax profit of 41,950 billion VND, an increase of nearly 19%. Of this, Viettel's parent company's profit accounted for 84%, equivalent to approximately 35,266 billion VND.
The favorable business results contributed to a significant increase in Viettel employees' income. At the parent company, the average monthly income per employee reached 50.2 million VND, equivalent to about 600 million VND annually. This income level is also 10.5% higher than in 2023.
Across the entire Viettel Group, the average monthly income per employee reached 33.5 million VND, 2.8 million VND higher than planned and nearly 9.4% higher than in 2023.
Thus, the average income of employees across the Viettel Group is comparable to that of mid-tier banks like TPBank, VPBank, VIB, and MSB last year. Meanwhile, the income of employees at Viettel's parent company surpasses that of top-tier banks like BIDV (47 million VND per month), VietinBank (45 million VND), and Vietcombank (42 million VND).
Founded in 1989, Viettel has become a leading Vietnamese enterprise in telecommunications, industry, and digital technology. Its brand value reached 8.9 billion USD. By the end of last year, Viettel operated in 11 countries and territories, with 130 million customers globally.
The group has over 50,000 employees, 83% of whom are Vietnamese. The remaining 17% of international staff come from 20 countries. Highly skilled technology experts account for 29.3% of Viettel's total workforce.
