On 29/6, Vingroup inaugurated its Vinfast Ha Tinh electric vehicle factory in the Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ky Anh town, after only seven months of construction. The project has a total investment of 7,300 billion VND, of which investor contributions exceed 1,000 billion VND (15%), with the remainder being mobilized capital.
The 360,000 m2 factory includes body welding, painting, assembly, logistics warehouses, and a quality control center. A 240,000 m2 auxiliary factory complex is also under construction and will continue to expand in the coming years.

The factory is currently focused on producing high-efficiency, small urban electric vehicles, notably the VF3, Minio Green, and EC Van, with additional models in development. According to Vinfast, these products are optimized for urban traffic, energy efficiency, and appeal to younger consumers.
The initial design capacity is 200,000 vehicles per year, equivalent to an average output of 35 vehicles per hour. The factory will expand further to increase capacity in the future. The company aims to promote component localization, establish and develop a domestic supply chain, create a research and development center to accelerate technological innovation and product design, and boost exports to regional and international markets.

The factory is expected to create approximately 6,000 direct jobs in its first phase and may expand its workforce to 15,000 in the future, contributing to local job creation and social security. Vinfast Ha Tinh's presence will also attract partner businesses to build factories in the industrial zone, forming a synchronized supply chain, aiming to raise the localization rate of electric vehicles to over 80% by 2026.
Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and CEO of Vingroup, stated that the inauguration of the Vinfast Ha Tinh factory is a significant milestone in Vinfast's long-term development strategy and global expansion.
"When operational, Vinfast Ha Tinh will contribute to Vinfast's goal of producing one million electric vehicles annually to meet the increasing domestic and international market demand. This clearly demonstrates our technological mastery, production autonomy, and pioneering vision in promoting sustainable transportation in Vietnam and globally," Quang said.
Vo Trong Hai, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, pledged that the province will closely coordinate with Vingroup and investors to promptly address any difficulties and obstacles to ensure the project's smooth implementation and operation.
Vinfast currently has five factories under development in Vietnam, the US, India, and Indonesia. In addition to the two operational factories in Vietnam – Vinfast Hai Phong and Vinfast Ha Tinh – factories in India and Indonesia are expected to be inaugurated and operational soon to meet international market demands.
