Vinpearl partners with three leading Indian travel companies

Vinpearl signed a cooperation agreement with Thomas Cook India, SOTC Travel, and MakeMyTrip to tap into India's 1,47 billion-strong market, aiming to establish Vietnam as a preferred destination for Indian tourists.

On 7/5, Vinpearl Joint Stock Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with three of India's leading travel companies. The signing took place during the State visit of General Secretary and President To Lam to India. The Vietnam - India Business Forum hosted the event, which was witnessed by General Secretary and President To Lam and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Shri Devendra Fadnavis.

This agreement aims to open direct access channels to all customer segments in the world's most populous nation. Vinpearl's three partners are key market players in India, each possessing distinct strengths. Thomas Cook India focuses on large-scale group tours, corporate clients, and MICE tourism. SOTC Travel specializes in family travel, group tours, and mid-to-high-end resorts. Meanwhile, MakeMyTrip is a leading online travel platform, with a significant advantage in reaching younger demographics and independent travelers through digital services.

Vinpearl representatives believe the company's "all-in-one" ecosystem is particularly well-suited to the needs and habits of Indian travelers. With 60 facilities nationwide, Vinpearl offers a comprehensive chain of 5-star services, including accommodation, dining, entertainment, golf courses, and international convention centers. These amenities effectively meet the needs of large groups, multi-generational families, or MICE groups seeking diverse experiences within a single itinerary.

Ms. Ngo Thi Huong, General Director of Vinpearl, affirmed that India is a key market in the company's internationalization strategy. Partnering with these leading companies not only expands market access but also enables the company to proactively develop products tailored to the specific tastes of each segment. "Vinpearl expects to increase its presence in India, while also contributing to making Vietnam an attractive and distinct destination on the global tourism map," Ms. Huong stated.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Anubhav Bansal, Vice President of MakeMyTrip, believes Vinpearl is playing a significant role in positioning Vietnam's appeal to Indian tourists. He emphasized that the scale and diversity of the Vietnamese company's ecosystem are well-suited to modern travel trends.

The influx of tourists from this South Asian nation is booming, driven by the rapid growth of its middle class. Vinpearl proactively prepared for this wave by designing specialized products such as luxury wedding tourism, family resorts, and MICE events. As a result, in 2025, the number of Indian guests staying at Vinpearl's properties saw a record increase of 402% compared to the previous year. In the first 4 months of this year, this figure continued to grow by 335% compared to the same period.
