V-Green partners with PVOil to deploy over 3,000 battery swap cabinets

Over 3,000 VinFast electric motorbike battery swap cabinets are expected to be installed at PVOil's nationwide gas station chain, following a cooperation signing ceremony on 7/5.

V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company and PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOil) announced a strategic cooperation agreement, aiming to deploy over 3,000 electric motorbike battery swap cabinets.

This month, the two parties will survey and install electric motorbike battery swap cabinets and electric car charging stations across PVOil's system of nearly 1,000 gas stations nationwide. By the end of June, they anticipate operating nearly 3,000 battery swap cabinets, meeting the needs of VinFast electric motorbike users.

Previously, V-Green and PVOil deployed nearly 400 electric car charging stations, combined with electric motorbike battery swap cabinets, achieving positive business results and optimizing the experience for VinFast vehicle users. According to the company, this is a strategic step in the energy transition towards a greener and more sustainable structure, aligning with PVOil's development orientation, and contributing to completing user-supporting infrastructure.

Le Trung Hung, Deputy General Director of PetroVietnam Oil Corporation and Chairman of the Board of Members of PVOil Trans, stated that beyond traditional energy, the company aims to become a leading diversified energy provider. "Partnering with V-Green to expand the network of charging stations and electric vehicle battery swap cabinets is a concrete step in our strategy to adapt to global energy transition trends," he said.

Do Thi Thanh, Network Development Director at V-Green, said that their presence at nearly 1,000 PVOil gas stations nationwide is the company's commitment to providing flexible charging and battery swap infrastructure for VinFast electric vehicle users, aiming to make Vietnam a country with the leading density of charging and battery swap stations in the region.

Currently, V-Green operates 150,000 electric car charging ports nationwide. Anticipating the growth of electric motorbikes, the company has deployed a battery swap cabinet system with major partners such as: FPT Shop, The Gioi Di Dong, and MediaMart, aiming to complete 60,000 cabinets in Quarter II.
