VNPAY received the Blockchain Innovation Award for its application of blockchain technology to the VNPAY app, enhancing security and transparency in transactions. Each transaction on the app is encrypted and immutably stored on the blockchain, minimizing the risk of fraud or third-party interference. User data, transaction details, and spending history are stored in a distributed manner, ensuring the highest level of security while maintaining transparent accessibility when needed.
Beyond consumer payments, VNPAY has also integrated blockchain technology into solutions for banks, payment processors, and other partners within its ecosystem.

The Ecosystem Collaboration Award recognized VNPAY's open platform, which connects hundreds of partners across diverse sectors: transportation, tourism, entertainment, e-commerce, healthcare, education, and public services. This platform fosters an interactive ecosystem where users, businesses, and financial institutions can participate and share value.
VNPAY's diversified payment methods, ranging from e-wallets and bank accounts to domestic and international cards, Apple Pay, and buy now, pay later options, have broadened its user base and created a flexible, comprehensive payment space, moving beyond a traditional customer base.
Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, a VNPAY representative, stated that winning two awards at the 2025 ABF Fintech Awards demonstrates the competitiveness of Vietnamese companies in core technologies, an area often considered the strength of startups in regions like Singapore and South Korea.
"We are not simply developing a payment app, but building a platform that can accompany users and adapt to the modern lifestyle. These two awards motivate us to continue investing, innovating, and contributing to the overall development of the Vietnamese fintech industry," Huong said.
