VPBank launches 'Technology Hackathon 2025 - Senior Track'

VPBank is hosting the "VPBank Technology Hackathon 2025 - Senior Track" for candidates with at least a bachelor's degree and two years of experience in IT or data science.

Themed "Hack2Hire: Conquering Technology, Building the Future with VPBank," the Senior Track is an advanced version of the competition, designed to challenge experienced candidates ready to demonstrate their skills at a higher level.

The competition consists of 5 phases: online registration from 5/9 to 15/10; an in-depth workshop hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) on 18/10; idea development and refinement from 19/10 to 23/10; the Prototype round with technological support from AWS from 29/10 to 6/11; and the final round on 15/11.

Participants will select a challenge statement provided by the organizers and develop their ideas and prototype solutions on the AWS platform. The challenges range from optimizing operational processes and customer journeys to building and optimizing modern system architecture, tackling data-specific banking problems, and developing digital solutions. All challenges are practical and relevant to VPBank's digital transformation needs, requiring participants to possess both sharp technological thinking and a good understanding of finance and banking.

A key feature of the Senior Track is the integration of AI/ML in most challenges, playing a crucial role in enhancing accuracy and applicability. For example, in security challenges, participants need to build systems capable of handling large volumes of complex security events, automatically analyzing and responding promptly using AI, minimizing reliance on manual human intervention.

"These requirements make the Senior Track a 'real-world technology playground,' where feasible, highly applicable, and scalable solutions will be the most important measure of success," a representative from the organizing committee said.

Participants also have the opportunity to join VPBank's strategic technology projects, taking on roles such as AI/Gen AI Engineer, DevOps, Project Manager, and Cloud Expert in the bank's IT and Data Management & Analysis departments.

A VPBank representative said that in the context of constant technological advancements and increasingly diverse customer needs, high-quality human resources are key to maintaining a competitive edge and market position. For years, the bank has steadfastly pursued the journey of creating a "Home of Talents," building VPBank into a place that attracts, nurtures, and develops talent.

For its technology personnel, the bank organizes various practical events, from VPBank Cloud Technology Connect Day 2023 and VPBank Technology Hackathon 2024 to Hackathon 2025. The VPBank Technology Hackathon 2025 - Junior Track attracted over 1,200 participants, with 90 finalists directly recruited into the Young Talents 2025 program, one of VPBank's career launching pads.

"VPBank's difference lies not in possessing cutting-edge technology, but in finding people capable of transforming technology into value. The Senior Track is an opportunity for talented individuals who want to take on leadership roles and build the future with VPBank," the bank representative emphasized.
