Yen Helen brand achieves Halal certification

With Halal certification, the Yen Helen brand has the opportunity to enter demanding markets like the US and the Middle East.

On 9/9, Helen Solar - Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Co., Ltd. announced that its Yen Helen brand bird's nest drinks and raw bird's nests have received "National Halal Product" certification, guaranteeing that the products comply with Islamic dietary laws. This information is displayed on the new labels and packaging of both product lines.

Each ready-to-eat bird's nest drink contains 70% bird's nest, with clearly and transparently listed nutritional information. Ms. Bui Thi Huong, Chairwoman of Helen Group, stated that with a commitment to "quality in every product", Yen Helen affirms its position as a "made in Vietnam" brand, meeting standards for export to large, demanding markets like the US and the Middle East.

The founder of the Yen Helen brand shared that her passion for bird's nests motivated her to overcome many challenges, laying the foundation for the brand's development and gradually asserting its position in the Vietnamese market. Instead of pursuing profit, the company focuses on creating quality, safe products that domestic consumers can easily access and enjoy. The company's goal is to make bird's nest a premium, healthy, hygienic, and environmentally friendly food.

Currently, Helen Solar - Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Co., Ltd. is the first and only company in the bird's nest industry to receive Halal certification from Halcert. This is not only a milestone that helps Yen Helen expand its promotion and penetrate the international market, but also presents a challenge for the company to constantly innovate and improve product value. At the same time, the company considers the preservation of Cam Ranh - Khanh Hoa bird's nest in particular, and Vietnamese cuisine in general, to be a lasting mission in its development journey.

On this occasion, the Yen Helen showroom (at 249A Thuy Khue, Hanoi) was also recognized as an "Intangible Cultural Heritage Space" certified by the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association. This space not only displays the company's products, but also showcases the preservation of cultural values imbued with national spirit and Vietnamese identity through the way each bird's nest is cherished and each visitor is welcomed to hear stories about the craft and experience dishes made from bird's nest.

The Halal certification was assessed, appraised, and granted by the Vietnam Certification Center - Vietnam Halal Certification Agency (Halcert), under the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality. Helen Solar's products underwent a two-year evaluation and assessment process under the close supervision of Halcert. The company had to standardize its processes and continuously innovate comprehensively in both human resources and technological production lines to meet Halal's strict production rules.

According to Mr. Ramlan Bin Osman, in charge of Halcert, building an effective Halal system depends not only on documentation or processes, but also on the commitment from leadership and a qualified professional team capable of implementation. This is a decisive factor for businesses to maintain Halal certification and develop sustainably. In addition, the Halal standard not only caters to the Muslim community but also attracts global consumers due to the cleanliness and safety of certified products.
