This plan was outlined by Daniel Guardado, Vale's director of business development, during a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on 7/7 in Brazil.
Vale is a Brazilian multinational corporation operating in the metals, mining, and logistics sectors. It is the world's largest producer of iron ore and nickel. In addition, they also produce ferroalloys, copper, bauxite, potash, and kaolin.
Guardado stated that Vale has cooperated effectively with Hoa Phat Group in iron ore exports. They wish to continue expanding business with Vietnamese partners to contribute to the growth of both economies. Additionally, cooperation with Vietnam will help them expand operations and connect with other partners in the ASEAN region.

In response to the investor, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that Vietnam and Brazil always create favorable conditions for businesses from both countries to invest and conduct business efficiently in each other's markets.
Vietnam is entering a new development phase with many large projects, such as the North-South high-speed railway and urban railways, resulting in a substantial demand for iron ore. In addition to supplying ore, the Prime Minister suggested Vale cooperate with Vietnamese economic groups to invest in mining and metallurgy, developing a strategic raw material supply chain for renewable energy industries and high-tech manufacturing.
