Tineco, a smart home appliance brand under Ecovacs Group, was founded in 1998 with its first product being a traditional vacuum cleaner. In 2018, the company launched its first smart vacuum cleaner, followed by a smart floor washer in 2019 and a smart carpet washer in 2022.
According to Tineco, the company is present in over 20 countries with more than 14 million users globally, holding 975 patents and 577 trademarks. "In addition to smart cleaning technology, Tineco is the top-selling vacuum cleaner on Amazon in the US, France, Australia, Japan, and Canada for three consecutive years," a company representative said.
Tineco's advantage stems from product innovation, exemplified by the 180-degree flat-folding mechanism on the Tineco Floor One S6 Stretch Pro model, allowing users to easily reach low-lying areas without bending over. The Floor One S9 Artist Steam features 140°C hot steam generation for enhanced cleaning and sterilization. Other notable Tineco technologies include: the iLoop Smart Sensor, FlashDry and PowerDry quick-drying features, all improving user experience and cleaning effectiveness.

In Vietnam, Tineco has exceeded its growth expectations. Nguyen Ha, business director of e-commerce at Hoplong E-commerce, stated that Tineco's sales quadrupled in the first six months of this year compared to the same period last year. Notably, the Stretch S6 model saw 300% growth by the end of 2024, reflecting the trend of Vietnamese consumers seeking convenient and smart cleaning solutions.
Tineco plans to double its Brand Shop network in Vietnam by the end of 2025, expanding its offline retail chain to allow customers to experience the latest products firsthand. The company is also heavily investing in after-sales service, accessories, and warranties to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Nguyen Minh Tan, director of the Giga.vn retail system, noted a significant shift in Vietnamese consumer behavior. While handheld wet-dry vacuums are relatively new, the domestic market has embraced them quickly. "Many users are combining robot vacuums with handheld devices like Tineco for increased cleaning efficiency, especially for quick and detailed tasks," he said.
