15 Hanoi high schools with the highest graduation exam scores

Among the 15 Hanoi high schools with the highest 2025 graduation exam scores are several with previously low entrance scores, located in outlying districts like Da Phuc, Quoc Oai, and Pham Ngu Lao.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training released this information on the afternoon of 16/7.

Provincial and city rankings by graduation exam scores

Hanoi has over 200 high schools, including public, charter, and private schools, as well as 4 specialized high schools affiliated with universities. Over 120,000 students, about 1/10 of the national total, took the 2025 high school graduation exam in Hanoi.

Statistics show that the average score across 4 exam subjects for Hanoi students was 6,364, placing the city in the top 5 out of 34 localities. This is a significant improvement from Hanoi's previous ranking of 12-20 in prior years.

The high school graduation exam took place on 26-27/6 with over 1.16 million students participating. Nearly 1.14 million students were tested under the new (2018) general education program, and over 26,700 followed the old (2006) program.

Students under the new program took two compulsory subjects: Literature and Math, and two optional subjects chosen from: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Informatics, Agricultural Technology, Industrial Technology, and Foreign Language (7 languages).

Students can look up their 2025 high school graduation exam scores at: https://diemthi.vnexpress.net.

After receiving their scores, students have 10 days to submit an appeal for re-marking if desired, with a deadline of 25/7. Students will receive their exam results certificate, provisional graduation certificate, and high school transcripts by 22/7 at the latest.

The registration, adjustment, and supplementation period for university admission applications is from 16/7 to 5 PM on 28/7, with no limit on the number of adjustments. Candidates can pay the application fee online from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8.

Before applying, students can visit VnExpress's University Search page to view the fluctuation of admission scores over the years by major and university, as well as tuition fees. The system also suggests majors and universities from last year with admission scores close to the student's current score for each subject combination.

University admission scores for 2025 will be announced before 5 PM on 22/8.
