Universities announce admission scores

Many universities will announce their 2025 admission scores around 5 p.m. today, immediately after the Ministry of Education and Training completes six rounds of virtual filtering.

According to several universities, the virtual filtering system experienced some issues on the first day. Information returned to northern universities in the first two rounds was delayed, but the system later stabilized. The announcement of admission scores proceeded as planned after two virtual filtering rounds today.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology stated that at 5:30 p.m., they will summarize and hand over the admission results to the group of 65 universities in the north. Immediately afterward, the university will announce its admission scores.

A series of other universities also plan to announce their admission scores today: University of Economics and Law, HCMC University of Technology (Hutech), HCMC University of Industry, Electric Power University, University of Transport Technology, Vietnam Women's Academy, and more.

Prospective students and parents can look up the announced university admission scores on VnExpress. The site also displays other information such as tuition fees and admission combinations.

Tuition fees for over 130 universities

The admission score announcement schedule for some universities is as follows:

This year, nearly 850,000 candidates registered for university admissions, with about 7.6 million applications. Many universities recorded 2 to 2.5 times more applicants than last year.

However, admission scores are generally expected to decrease because the score distribution for this year's high school graduation exam is lower than in previous years.

Score distribution for 5 university admission combinations in 2025

According to the Ministry of Education and Training regulations, admission scores for all methods are converted to a common scale (mainly a 30-point scale). Each university has a different conversion formula.

An admission score of 27 for Logistics at University A and 28 at University B doesn't necessarily mean the original score of the candidate applying to University B is higher than University A. The difference might be due to the score conversion coefficients of the two universities.

After receiving the results, successful candidates must confirm their admission online on the Ministry's general system by 5 p.m. on 30/8. This step is mandatory if candidates wish to enroll. Many universities may have additional enrollment steps and welcome students in person.
