Academy of Finance admission scores over the past three years

Admission scores based on high school graduation exam results at the Academy of Finance have generally increased from 2022 to 2024, with only the accounting program experiencing a one-year decrease.

Over the past three years, the Academy of Finance has typically enrolled 4,000 or more students, with approximately 40% of admissions based on high school graduation exam results.

Admission scores based on these exam results generally increased between 2022 and 2024. On the 40-point scale (with English doubled), admission scores for various programs ranged from 32.95 to 36.15. This means candidates needed an average score of 8.2 to nearly 9 per subject to be admitted.

The most sought-after programs were customs and logistics, with admission scores between 34.28 and 36.15.

On the 30-point scale, the minimum admission score was 25.45. Programs using this scale included finance-banking, accounting, business administration, management information systems, and economics.

Here's a breakdown of the Academy of Finance's admission scores for 2022, 2023, and 2024:

Following the 2025 high school graduation exams in late June, associate professor and Doctor Nguyen Dao Tung, director of the Academy of Finance, predicted that average scores might be lower than in previous years. Consequently, he anticipated a decrease in admission scores based on these exam results.

Tung considered the math and English sections of the 2025 exams excessively difficult for a combined graduation and university entrance exam, leaving many students struggling. He projected that the Academy of Finance's admission scores would likely range from 21 to 28, a wider spread compared to the previous year (26.03-26.85/30 and 34.35-36.15/40).

"The admission scores for some programs will decrease by 3-4 points compared to last year. This broader range of scores presents an opportunity for candidates to gain admission to the Academy if they apply to suitable programs," he said.

The academy plans to lower its minimum entry score by 1 point. In 2024, the minimum score was 20 or 21, depending on the program.

Tuition fees at the Academy of Finance have seen slight increases over the past three years. In 2024, the standard program's annual tuition was 25 million VND, an increase of 1-3 million VND from the previous year.

This year, the academy expects tuition fees for the standard program to range from 20 to 28 million VND. For programs oriented towards international certifications and international partnerships, the tuition fees are expected to be 50-55 million VND and 60-75 million VND, respectively.

In 2025, the Academy of Finance plans to enroll 6,320 students, an increase of over 1,800 from the previous year. In addition to its three existing locations in Bac Tu Liem and Dong Da districts, the academy is expanding to Hoa Lac and potentially to Ho Chi Minh City.

A notable change this year is the reduction of admission methods from five last year to three: direct admission according to Ministry of Education and Training regulations, combined admission methods, and admission based on 2025 high school graduation exam results.
