The national high school graduation exam, held on 11-12/6, saw over 1,2 million candidates participate. These scores are vital, serving not only for graduation recognition but also as a mandatory requirement for university and college admissions, irrespective of the chosen application method.
This year marked a significant change with the literature exam being graded for the first time using a rubric method. This innovative approach utilizes specific evaluation criteria and defined achievement levels for each criterion, aiming to ensure fairness and reduce subjectivity in scoring.
Initial assessments from teachers indicate that mathematics scores were slightly higher this year compared to last. Conversely, literature scores primarily clustered within the 6,5-7 range.
Candidates wishing to appeal their scores can submit requests from 1/7 to 5/7. The official registration period for university and college preferences on the Ministry's system runs from 2/7 until 17h on 14/7. Final university admission scores and individual candidate results are expected to be released after 17h on 9/8.
