On 17/8, the Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training announced that the deputy principal of Ha Huy Tap High School, Tay Nha Trang ward, violated the 2026 national high school graduation exam regulations. The disciplinary period is 12 months.
The incident began with a social media post that went viral on 13/6. The post claimed a relative recounted a story about a student bringing documents and a phone into exam room 0577 at Ngo Gia Tu High School, Bac Cam Ranh ward, during the physics exam.
However, the proctor did not issue a report, and the student continued the exam until time expired. The post quickly went viral before its removal.
Authorities formed an investigation team, confirming the incident. The examination board unanimously cancelled all of the student's exam results, adhering to Ministry of Education and Training regulations.
According to the Department, other teachers involved fall under the local authority's jurisdiction for management and disciplinary action.
Civil servants and public employees face four disciplinary actions: reprimand, warning, dismissal, or forced resignation. During a disciplinary period, they are ineligible for commendations, salary increases, or other benefits.
