Class 12A6, with 36 students, achieved math scores ranging from 7 to 10 in the 2026 national high school graduation exam, with an average score of 8,8. Principal Hoang Quoc Quyet noted this class has the best academic record in the school's history.
Notably, students in class 12A6 are primarily children of fishermen and farmers from the coastal communes of Yen Hoa and Thien Cam (formerly part of Cam Xuyen district). Many come from disadvantaged backgrounds, with parents unable to afford external tutoring. Their academic success relies entirely on classroom instruction and the dedicated support of their subject teachers.
According to Principal Quyet, the entrance score for this cohort of students in 2023 was 18,25, calculated from the total scores of math, literature, and English (each weighted one, plus priority points). In 2023, Ha Tinh Specialized High School conducted its own admissions. Phan Dinh Phung High School had the highest general admission benchmark at 23,75 points, with the remaining 35 schools falling within the 15-20 range. Nguyen Dinh Lien High School's benchmark of 18,25 was considered competitive.
"Students selected for this class consistently scored 8 or higher on their 10th-grade math entrance exams", stated Principal Quyet. Over the past three years, the class has accumulated 27 provincial student awards in math, physics, chemistry, and informatics, ranging from consolation prizes to first-place honors.

Ha Thi Tuong, the homeroom teacher for class 12A6, recalled that in 10th grade, five students earned provincial math awards, with their achievements steadily growing in subsequent years. Having taught these students for three years, she was not surprised by their math results in the 2026 national high school graduation exam.
According to Tuong, the students are well-behaved and supportive of classmates facing difficult circumstances. As most students do not attend extra classes, teachers maximize in-class time and utilize social media groups for assignments and to address questions. In the evenings, she provides timely support when students message or call with inquiries.
The class comprises 33 male students and three female students. The male students largely applied to military, polytechnic, engineering, and pedagogical universities, while the female students opted for economics and banking fields. Based on previous years' admission benchmarks, Tuong anticipates a high success rate for their first-choice applications.
Nguyen Dinh Lien High School, established in 2004, was initially a semi-public institution. In 2010, it transitioned to a public school, situated in Yen Hoa commune (formerly part of Cam Xuyen district). The 10th-grade entrance score for the next academic year is 15.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, the school has 904 students, with grade 12 consisting of eight classes and 284 students.
