Pham Thai Son, director of the Center for Admissions and Communications at HUIT, reported these figures after 4 simulated admission rounds as of the afternoon of 19/8.
The current highest admission scores are 23.5-24.5 for logistics and supply chain management, international business, and marketing, the same as last year. This is followed by food technology and information security at 23.
Several programs saw a 1-2 point increase, including electrical and electronic engineering technology, automation control engineering technology, mechatronics engineering technology, data science, and information security. Last year, these programs required scores of around 18.5-20.
The remaining programs have a general admission score of 17 and above. The university will announce the official admission scores on the evening of 20/8.
"There are still two more simulated admission rounds, so the scores may change, with a difference of about 0.25-0.5 compared to today," Son said.
This year, HUIT is admitting 8,300 students through various methods: direct admission, high school transcripts, 2025 high school graduation exam scores, Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test scores, and a combination of specialized competency assessment test scores and high school transcripts.
Tuition for HUIT's bachelor's programs is 110-116 million VND for the entire course, a 3-5 million VND increase from last year. Engineering programs cost around 139-144 million VND.
Son said about 101,000 candidates registered for more than 178,000 slots at the university, a 2.5-fold increase compared to last year.
