Beyond these five IT programs, PTIT offers related fields like information security, computer science, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Head of IT Department 1, stated that these programs aim to meet Vietnam's growing demand for skilled IT professionals.
According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam has 74,000 IT companies employing over 1.2 million people. This figure is projected to reach 3 million by 2030, as Vietnam's digital economy could reach 74 billion USD.
IT graduates enjoy high employability. Starting salaries typically range from 15-20 million VND per month, rising to 20-40 million VND with 2-3 years of experience.
Despite the high demand, Dr. Phuong acknowledges increasing competition. Students need strong math and logic skills, a passion for technology, English fluency, teamwork abilities, market awareness, and the capacity to develop and manage real-world products.
"This field offers global opportunities and high earning potential, but it's not for those who shy away from continuous learning and adapting to new technologies," he emphasized.
