An FTU admissions representative stated this on the afternoon of 1/7. Specific changes will be announced later.
"Applicants can rest assured that the university will devise the optimal plan, ensuring the selection of suitable students for each program in the fairest way possible," the representative said.

In January, FTU announced it would continue its admissions process using academic transcripts, high school graduation exam results, domestic and international competency certificates, and direct admission.
The academic transcript method applies to three groups of applicants: those who participated in the national excellent student and scientific-technical exam; those who won third prize or higher in the city-level excellent student exam; and students from specialized high schools. Specific requirements vary for each group, but the general requirement is a total score of 24 or higher in three graduation exam subjects.
The university uses four main subject combinations, all including English and math: A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English), and D00 (Literature, Math, Foreign Language: English, French, Chinese, Japanese, Russian).
However, after the high school graduation exam on 26/6-27/6, many students were shocked to find the math and English exams more difficult than the sample tests and their usual practice materials. Teachers estimated the average score for math to be around 5-6.5 and for English around 5-5.5, lower than last year.
The 2025 high school graduation exam scores will be announced on 16/7. Applicants can register and adjust their university application preferences until 5 PM on 28/7.
