Hanoi Medical University's highest admission score reaches 28.7

Hanoi Medical University (HMU) has set its admission scores between 17 and 28.7, with the highest score of 28.7 for psychology under the C00 combination (literature, history, geography) and 28.13 for medicine.

According to the announcement by HMU on 22/8, following medicine is odontology with an admission score of 27.34. Both programs use the B00 combination (math, chemistry, biology) from the high school graduation exam.

The programs with an admission score of 17 include preventive medicine, social work, and nursing at the Thanh Hoa campus.

This year, HMU is admitting 1,910 students through two methods: direct admission and admission based on high school graduation exam scores. In mid-July, the university announced a list of 272 students admitted directly, 1.5 times higher than last year. Most of these students were admitted to the medicine program.

For admission based on high school graduation exam scores, candidates with English language certificates equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or higher will receive a bonus of 1 to 2 points. Candidates who won prizes in national academic competitions or science and technology competitions but did not use them for direct admission will also receive a bonus of 0.25 to 3 points. If a candidate has won multiple prizes, only the highest prize will be considered for bonus points.

Tuition fees at HMU for the 2025-2026 academic year range from 16.9 to 62.2 million VND. Compared to last year, this represents an increase of 1.9 to 10 million VND.

In 2024, HMU's admission scores based on high school graduation exam results ranged from 19 to 28.83. The highest score was for psychology under the C00 combination.

Considering only the traditional B00 combination, medicine led with 28.27 points. The lowest score of 19 applied to medical laboratory technology and rehabilitation technology at the Thanh Hoa campus.
