Hanoi Medical University (HMU) announced on 10/7 that three programs require a floor score of 24 points: Medicine, Odonto-Stomatology, and Medicine at the Thanh Hoa branch. Traditional Medicine follows with 21 points. Most other programs have a floor score of 18, with Social Work being 17.
These are the minimum scores required for candidates to register their preferences. In practice, the cut-off scores for most programs at Hanoi Medical University are typically higher than the floor scores, often significantly exceeding them.

Hanoi Medical University's cut-off scores over the past three years
Hanoi Medical University plans to enroll about 2,000 students this year. There are three admission methods: direct admission, high school graduation exam scores, and Hanoi National University of Education's SPT competency assessment scores. The SPT scores are exclusively for bachelor's programs such as: Nursing, Midwifery, Dental Prosthetics Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Ophthalmic Refraction, Public Health, Psychology, and Social Work.
The university awards bonus points to three groups: candidates with national excellent student awards or science and technology awards, and those with international certificates such as IELTS 5,5 or equivalent, or SAT 1,100/1,600 or higher. A maximum of 3 bonus points can be added, applicable only to exam-based admission.
Hanoi Medical University's tuition fees for the 2026-2027 academic year are projected to range from 19,1 to 80 million VND, an increase of 2,2 to 17,8 million VND compared to last year.
