Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) released the percentile rankings for its competency assessment on the evening of 9/7. Nearly 17,500 students who took the exam were ranked based on their chosen subject combinations.
For example, a student scoring 27 points in the A00 combination (Math, Physics, Chemistry) falls within the top 0.5% of this year's test takers, while a score of 26 points places them in the top 1%. For the A01 combination (Math, Physics, English), a score of 25.4 points places a student in the top 0.5%.
In addition to showing students their overall ranking, these percentile rankings also provide data for universities using the assessment results. This data allows universities to convert scores between different admissions methods, as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training.

The HNUE competency assessment took place on 17/5, with nearly 17,500 participants. Students could register for several tests in subjects including Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, and Geography. According to HNUE statistics, each student took an average of three tests.
25 universities, primarily those specializing in education, are using the results for admissions. Some universities in other fields, such as Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy (see list), are also utilizing these scores.
HNUE has updated the competency assessment scores on the Ministry of Education and Training's admissions system. After the national high school graduation exam results are released, HNUE will convert the competency assessment scores to equivalent high school graduation exam scores. Students and universities can view these converted scores on HNUE's admissions portal.

This year, HNUE plans to admit almost 5,000 students into 50 different undergraduate programs. The three admissions methods are: based on high school graduation exam results; based on outstanding achievements and abilities; and based on the HNUE competency assessment (SPT) scores.
Last year, the benchmark scores based on the competency assessment ranged from 18 to 26.3 out of 30, with the highest benchmark for the History Education program.
For admissions based on high school graduation exam scores, the benchmark scores ranged from 22 to 29.3. History Education and Literature Education programs had the highest benchmarks, while Biology had the lowest.
