Hanoi National University of Education announced on 6/7 the conversion table for its SPT competency assessment exam scores to 2026 high school graduation exam scores. This table clarifies how scores from the university's specialized exam translate into the national high school graduation exam format.
According to the university's calculations, SPT scores, when converted to high school graduation exam scores, will be notably higher. For instance, a candidate scoring 25,75 points in the SPT exam for combination A00, or 24,38 points for B00 (Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology), would be considered equivalent to 29,5 points in the high school graduation exam for their respective combinations. Conversely, for a high school graduation exam score of 15, candidates only need to achieve 9,24 points in the SPT A00 combination to reach equivalence.

The 2026 SPT exam marks its 5th year, attracting nearly 23,000 registered candidates, the highest number to date. This represents an increase of about 5,000 candidates compared to last year. Nearly 40 universities nationwide currently utilize scores from this exam for their admission processes.
For Hanoi National University of Education, the SPT exam is one of several methods used to admit approximately 6,000 students. Other admission criteria include considering candidates with outstanding abilities and achievements, and relying on high school graduation exam scores. In 2025, the university's admission scores, applicable across all methods, ranged from 19 to 29,06/30, with History Education emerging as the leading major.
