Specifically, for teacher training programs, candidates must have good academic results in grade 12 and meet one of two conditions: a total score of 18 or higher from three high school graduation exam subjects, or a high school graduation review score of 8,5 or higher.
For physical education, music education, fine arts education, and non-pedagogical fields, these thresholds are 16,5 and 6,5 points, respectively. Additionally, candidates must have fairly good academic results in grade 12.
For the competency assessment exam (SPT) method, candidates must take at least three subjects to be considered for admission based on their composite scores.
For candidates with outstanding abilities and achievements, the university divides them into three groups. The first group includes those with good conduct and academic scores for three years of high school, who also meet one of the following conditions: studying at schools affiliated with Hanoi National University of Education and Ho Chi Minh City, or specialized high schools; achieving a third prize in provincial/university-level excellent student competitions or science and technology competitions.
The remaining two categories apply to music and fine arts education, or physical education and sports coaching programs. These candidates must have a high school academic record of fairly good or higher, and either be among the top 5% highest scores in the university's aptitude test, or have significant achievements in related fields (graduating with distinction from specialized art or talent schools, winning awards in provincial-level or higher art competitions or sports tournaments, or achieving national-level athlete status).
For the admission method using high school graduation exam scores, the university does not convert English scores from foreign language certificates. The floor scores will be announced on 10/7.
Last year, Hanoi National University of Education admitted approximately 5.000 students. Cutoff scores ranged from 19 to 29,06 out of 30. History Education had the highest cutoff, with several programs requiring over 28 points, including Political Education, and programs in Mathematics Education, Physics Education, Chemistry Education, Literature Education, and Geography Education.
Two programs with cutoff scores below 20 were Biology and Biotechnology (which are not teacher training programs).
