Hanoi University of Industry announced on 14/1 that it will introduce four new majors: Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor Microchips, and Materials Technology. The projected enrollment target for 71 majors and programs is 8,300 students, an increase of about 300 compared to 2025.
The university will also use 19 subject combinations for admissions. Compared to last year, Hanoi University of Industry has removed the X27 combination (mathematics, English, industrial technology) and added five new combinations: A02 (mathematics, physics, biology), C01 (literature, mathematics, physics), C03 (literature, mathematics, history), C04 (literature, mathematics, geography), and X05 (mathematics, physics, economic and legal education).
The remaining 14 combinations will remain unchanged.
Five admission methods will be maintained. These include: direct admission (one), admission based on international certificates or gifted student awards combined with three-year high school academic records according to the chosen combination (two), admission based on high school graduation exam results (three), admission based on the competency assessment exam results from Vietnam National University, Hanoi (four), and admission based on the thinking assessment exam results from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (five).
The eligibility requirement for admission methods two, four, and five is a total academic record score of 7 or higher for the subjects within the chosen combination.

Hanoi University of Industry became the 12th university in Vietnam in 11/2025. The institution operates three campuses with a total area of nearly 50 hectares. Two campuses are located in Hanoi and one in Ninh Binh (formerly Ha Nam), accommodating approximately 35,000 students, making it one of the largest in the country.
Last year, the admission scores for Hanoi University of Industry ranged from 18 to 26.27 out of 30, with the control and automation engineering technology major having the highest score. Most other majors had scores between 20 and 23 points.
