Hanoi university of science eliminates 11 admission combinations, raises tuition fees

Hanoi University of Science (HUS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, will discontinue 11 admission combinations used last year and anticipates a tuition fee increase of approximately 2 million dong.

For the 2026 academic year, Hanoi University of Science plans to admit students through several methods: direct admission, high school graduation exam results, HSA competency assessment exam scores, international SAT certificates, and a combination of high school graduation exam scores with international certificates.

The university will also consider applications from students under special agreements, pre-university programs, and other groups as guided by Vietnam National University, Hanoi's admissions regulations.

Regarding admissions based on high school graduation exam scores, HUS will remove 11 previous combinations. These include B01 (mathematics, biology, history) and D09 (mathematics, history, English), along with other combinations that featured subjects such as economic and legal education, informatics, and agricultural and industrial technology.

Conversely, the university will introduce the C03 combination (mathematics, literature, history).
